Even if he hadn't been invited, Minister of Transport Thomas Danielsen would have attended Transport 2025 - the trade fair serves as a crucial link between the industry and politicians. This was one of the messages when the minister helped open the trade fair at MCH Messecenter Herning on Thursday 3 April, which also served as the venue for the Van of the Year award ceremony on the first day.

The transport fair is Scandinavia's leading transport fair for a reason - the importance of the event was strongly emphasised by Minister of Transport Thomas Danielsen when he gave this year's opening speech on Thursday morning before cutting the ribbon for the fair.

A marker of the industry's development
Before the Minister of Transport took the stage, Georg Sørensen, Managing Director of MCH A/S, gave a welcome speech in which he spoke about the development of the exhibition from its inception in 1988 to this year's 18th edition. He made it clear that throughout the years, MCH has been and continues to be driven by a community, a passion and a desire to create a professional marketplace - a common, strong and meaningful platform for the entire industry. At the same time, he also dealt with the importance of the fair.

Two brands in joint van triumph
The transport fair, which this year counts 327 exhibitors and offers an extensive stage programme with presentations and debates by prominent people from the industry, also provided the setting for the Van of the Year Awards on Thursday.

The award ceremony was organised in collaboration with the Danish Motor Journalists, and this year the award went to Nissan Interstar and Renault Master, who shared the prize.
