The entire transport industry is represented at Transport 2023, which exhibits buses, taxis, vans and trucks. And with more than 350 exhibitors, the fair is approaching pre-Covid numbers. Both the industry and MCH are enthusiastic and thankful for the strong international support for Transport 2023, which will be held at MCH Messecenter Herning in Denmark, from 20-22 April.
The numbers speak for themselves: More than 350 exhibitors, including 40 international exhibitors, have already announced their participation in Transport 2023. Visitors can expect 14 halls, packed to capacity. And with just under a month to go, as many as 16,000 tickets have already been sold.
This year's fair has a strong focus on green solutions for buses, taxis, vans, and of course, trucks. Eight major truck importers are participating: Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Volvo, Scania, IVECO, MAN, Ford and DAF. All of them will be presenting exciting products that embrace the green transition.
It is the exhibitors' focus on the future that makes the fair especially interesting, according to Erik Østergaard, Chair of the Nordic Logistics Association and CEO of DTL - Danish Transport & Logistics Association.
"Transport 2023 in Herning is a unique opportunity to get a glimpse of the transport world's visions, which extend beyond Danish borders. Not only will we see the latest cutting-edge technology aimed at making the day-to-day lives of transport drivers more efficient and productive, we will also gain knowledge of the essential pathways to realising green transport in a world undergoing tremendous changes," says Erik Østergaard. He adds:
"At the fair, ambition meets reality, and we always leave feeling stronger and with a greater sense of clarity, so we can contribute to society and deliver a greener agenda. The Nordic Logistics Association and our national organisations use this knowledge to make better arguments for our companies' business conditions."
Support all the way from Brussels
The Nordic Logistics Association is also represented by the organisation's CEO, Torsten Laksafoss Holbek, who is currently based in Brussels where he looks after the interests of Danish and Nordic hauliers in the EU.
"I'm really looking forward to attending Transport 2023 and coming home to talk with the drivers I represent in Brussels, as well as the many other transport businesses attending the fair. I'm also looking forward to telling them about the Nordic Logistics Association and the work we do in Brussels to ensure better conditions for Nordic transport organisations, including on behalf of the Danish Transport & Logistics Association (DTL). I'll be doing this from the Nordic Logistics Association's stand at the fair," says Torsten Laksafoss Holbek, who encourages people to drop by.
Lars Meedom, project manager for sales at MCH A/S, is delighted with the international backing and reports that the fair has broad international horizons.
"The transport industry is international by nature, and this is what we want to reflect at Transport 2023. We are therefore delighted that 40 exhibitors from all over the world, mainly Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands and Germany, will be present at the fair. We are extremely grateful for this support, and it is also a testimony to the fact that the industry is united across borders and seeks to share knowledge and embrace the challenges of the present and the future together - especially in relation to sustainability," says Lars Meedom.
Transport 2023 is zooming in on green solutions, and this is emphasised by the fact that the fair offers a comprehensive Green Transport conference. DTL and Jyske Finans will also be awarding a Green Transport Prize at the fair. The programme will include a Danish Championship for Transport Apprentices, and test drives and vintage trucks will also be on the agenda, as well as an area dedicated to recruitment and training.
Transport 2023 will be held at MCH Messecenter Herning, in Denmark, from 20-22 April.
